Abstract

Abstract: The 10 double-stranded RNA segments of the original U.S. isolates of two serotypes of bluetongue virus (BTV-10 and BTV-11), and another BTV-11 isolate obtained in 1973 from Idaho, were compared by oligonucleotide fingerprinting. The results indicate that these viruses represent naturally occurring reassortant viruses.
